Buzzsugar’s Interview with Kat Graham

Buzzsugar.com has interviewed Katerina Graham about what’s to come for Bonnie in Season 2. She talks about what’s ahead for Bonnie, werewolves, the posibility of Damon & Bonnie hooking up and more!
BuzzSugar: What are you most excited about in the upcoming season?
Katerina Graham: I’m really excited about the season premiere, honestly. There have been so many episodes shot after that — we’re on episode six — but I’m really dying to see the season premiere, I’m just dying!
Buzz: Has it been weird acting with Nina Dobrev as Katherine and Elena now?
KG: No! Nina’s always great to do scenes with, and just because she’s a new character she’s still very much Nina Dobrev, still very much that person to work with. She’s handling Katherine really really well.
Buzz: I’ve noticed some sexual tension between Damon and Bonnie.
KG: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Buzz: Is there any possibility of a love connection between them?
KG: I don’t know . . . that’s the answer! Next question, next question!
Buzz: Is there a chance of another love interest for Bonnie then?
KG: I think there’s a chance, but do I know if it’s going to happen? I don’t. [But] hopefully. It would be nice!
Buzz: Are we going to see Bonnie kicking ass this season?
KG: Oh, yeah, from the jump she’s kicking ass. She’s going to try — although she might not succeed sometimes, she’s going to be trying to kick ass. She’s going to be doing her thing.
Buzz: How will the addition of werewolves affect the show?
KG: It completely affects the show, it alters everything that you might have thought the show was gong to be. Werewolves are going to play such an important part this season. I know that notoriously vampires and werewolves don’t get along, so that creates a whole other conflict for everyone to deal with, and then Katherine’s back, that’s a whole other thing. It’s so interesting to see how they’re all playing with each other. And I don’t think any of them are going to play nice.
Buzz: Will Bonnie be discovering more of her powers?
KG: Absolutely. She also discovers things she can do easily and certain things she’s learning and still developing. Over time we’ll discover more of her abilities, which is always fun for the fans to see.
Buzz: Will we see Bonnie happy again?
KG: Yeah! She’s trying. I think if you lose anyone you’re going to be bummed out, and that’s OK. She’s a bit edgier this year, definitely, but she’s still got the sense of humor and I always like to find the fun in the scenes.
Buzz: Is she always going to hate Stefan, and vampires in general?
KG: I don’t know if she’s always going to hate anyone, but I definitely feel that she’ll never let certain things go. She’ll never let the things that Damon’s done go, and she’ll never let the things that Stefan’s done go. She can maybe forgive them, but Bonnie doesn’t forget anything.
Buzz: So spill, are you Team Damon or Team Stefan?
KG: I would love to see Elena with Stefan because he really loves her. [It's a] no boundaries kind of love, and I believe in that and I believe in being with the people that are like that. I think that Damon hasn’t quite gotten over his ex yet. But we’ll see; plotlines can change and I can think that by the end of the season, I could think that Stefan hasn’t earned Elena. Damon hasn’t earned Elena. I think he’s got a lot to get over, especially the things that he’s done to Jeremy and the things he’s done to the family, and the things that he’s done to me. We’ll see. He could turn out to really prove himself. I think everyone deserves another chance.
Buzz: You were recently in Justin Bieber’s “Somebody to Love” video. Do you have Bieber fever?
KG: I totally have Bieber fever! Everyone around me has Bieber fever! We looove Justin Bieber. Everyone in my music camp is big supporters of him, and vice versa. He’s been very supportive of me and my music.
Buzz: Does Bieber watch The Vampire Diaries?
KG: He’s very aware of it! I don’t know how much time he has to watch TV, but he’s aware of it. I think he would make a great vampire.
Buzz: It would be awesome if you could get him to guest star.
KG: I know, fingers crossed!

E!Online Interviews Guest Star Courtney Ford

E!Online has interviewed Courtney Ford (Dexter) about her upcoming role on The Vampire Diaries as Vanessa Monroe. She gives some hints at what may be ahead for her character…
“I play Vanessa Monroe, a Duke University grad student who’s helping Alaric (Matt Davis), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) with Isobel’s research. It’s a really nice arc.”
Isobel, Elena’s birth mom and Alaric’s wife, was so obsessed with vampires that she persuaded Damon to turn her into one. Is Vanessa going to ask the same favor of the sexy Salvatore brother?
Not a chance, Courtney dished. “Vanessa has a conflict, because she studies all this wonderful mythology and folklore, but half of her is a complete skeptic. Half of her is a believer, and half of her is a skeptic, and she goes back and forth. It’s a big conflict for her.”
When we asked Courtney whether Vanessa would see any action in the romance department, her reaction revealed that she’s obviously hooking up with someone…but Courtney’s lips are sealed: “I want to tell you so much, but I can’t,” she said, laughing. “They’ll kill me if I reveal too much!”

Ian and Nina Give Scoops about the Finale

Kristin from E!Online has interviewed Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev and they share some scoops about tonight’s finale and some for next season, including confirming a character return.
Finale Freak-Out: Things are not looking too peachy for the Mystic Falls folks going into tonight’s first-season finale. “It is so unbelievably jam-packed, so much happens,” says Nina. “Every episode ends with a massive cliffhanger.” But, Ian tells us, “the finale has seven or eight ‘oh my god’ moments–cliffhangers. People are going to die, there are going to be more vampires in town. It will not disappoint, but it will upset some. And some characters are going to step out of their comfort zones and do things that are normally uncharacteristic of themselves.”
Like, oh, the brothers Salvatore working together to protect sweet Elena? “There’s a lot of relationships being forged,” says Ian. “Elena has this band of brothers who are not going to let anything happen to her. They are hell-bent on protecting her and working as team.”
Stefan and Elena: According to Nina, “They’re trying to figure it out. They’re trying to go day by day, and Elena is definitely behind him 100 percent.” But, she says, pointing at Ian, “This one is in the picture, and Elena’s developed a friendship with him. She’s starting to realize he’s not completely evil, that he’s doing everything that he does for love, for Katherine, this woman that he truly cared about.”
Damon and Elena: These two are hopeful for a Dalena (?) hookup, but nothing huge to report yet. “[Show runner] Kevin Williamson was discussing a bit of next season and they have a pretty good idea of what they’re doing up until the first half,” Ian tells us. “There is some cool stuff.” “Then again,” adds Nina, “everything always changes.”
Damon and Stefan: When Nina poses the question of whether or not Damon really loves his brother or if this is all a game, Ian is quick to explain: “Damon loves his brother! Of course he does. Just like Stefan. Stefan could have let Damon die five times. But it will be interesting to see the varying degrees of that love when you mix the love of a woman with the love of a brother–things get a little hairy.” Did Ian just say Damon loves Elena? We’re choosing to believe, yes!
Damon and Alaric?! Matt Davis is returning for more vampire-hunting fun next season, and Ian, for one, is thrilled. “He just came into this group and fit right in. Matt’s just as crazy of a degenerate as all of us are. So organic.” Couldn’t agree more!
Check out the video interview HERE.
E!Online Spoilers: Alaric, Damon & Jeremy
Kristin from E!Online has shared some new spoilers about three of the characters on the show: Alaric, Damon & Jeremy. You’re warned that one of them is specially spoilery.
Jack in Rhode Island: I think Matt Davis is awesome on The Vampire Diaries. They aren’t going to kill him off, are they?
Thanks to Alaric’s fancy lifesaving ring (take that, Damon!), and the producers feeling the same as you, I’m told that Matt is sticking around. No plans to off him.
Wallace in Miami: How about some news on Damon on TVD? I’m kind of wanting him to go back to being evil. Will his good side stick around long?
I’m told he’ll always be in a gray area, between good and evil. And hello, he has done plenty of evil things as of late, including slaughtering (he thought) Alaric and snapping his kindly neighbor woman’s neck! If you don’t think that’s evil, I hope you don’t live on my street.
Penny in Tuscon, Ariz.: I love that Jeremy’s not in the dark on The Vampire Diaries anymore. What’s ahead for him?
Jeremy and vampire Anna will find their way back to each other, even though she bailed when she learned about the whole Vicki situation. Sadly for J, his relationship with this little lady doesn’t end up much better than the latter.

E!Online: Isobel and Damon&Elena Spoilers
Along with a pretty cool new promotional poster, Watch with Kristin has shared some new info about the upcoming arrival of Isobel to Mystic Falls. Plus, awesome news for Damon&Elena shippers…
Turns out that when you discover your birth mother is the same evil woman who blew up the plane that started Fox’s 24—the always badass Mia Kirshner—things probably aren’t gonna be all puppies and roses. Mia will return for next Thursday’s, April 29, episode of The Vampire Diaries on the CW, and then she’ll be front and center in the explosive May 6 ep, conveniently called “Isobel.” In the episode, Isobel will shock her ex-husband Alaric (Matt Davis) when she cruises back into town and demands a meeting with the daughter she fought so hard to keep away, Elena. Based on the slogan in the not-yet-released promo above—”Connected to her mother by blood, not love”—and on what sources tell me, it’s not gonna be the prettiest of all mother-daughter reunions. But it is gonna be some awesome TV! In fact, I’m hearing the final episodes of TVD’s first season will blow you away. Get ready.
Bear in Sacramento, Calif.: Could you please give us some scoop on Damon and Elena? Are they really going to become a real thing? Will they really get closer?
Yes, they will get closer! And yes, he will start seeing her as more than just a Katherine knockoff. You Stefan-Elena fans will not be pleased, and you Damon-Elena fans will have much to squee about in coming episodes, from what I hear! Damon will help Elena with her new mother situation (along with Stefan), and that will draw them together a little more.

Scarlet Magazine Interviews Ian Somerhalder
April 11, 2010 by Alex
Filed under Cast & Crew, General News, Interviews
Scarlet Magazine has a new interview with Ian Somerhalder where he talks about Damon, Vampires, true love and Lost.
What’s the deal with Damon?
He feels he’s been badly wronged, and wants revenge and redemption. Imagine having one true love, who you’ve spent 140 years figuring out how to get back, and then she comes within arms’ reach and you lose her again. That would suck. So he has ill-intent but with righteous reasons. That’s a fucking dangerous situation. Look at the world: there’s a lot of ill-intent right now but for righteous reasons.
Do you believe in having ‘one true love’?
You find that one person where you go, “Wow!”. I’m a hopeless romantic. I’ve been with my girlfriend for three years and I’ve no intention of getting out of it for another 60.
Have you ever had your heart broken?
As far as women go, no. I’ve had my heart broken in other ways, though – by the deception of friends or family members.
What’s the best part about playing Damon?
It’s so much fun. I’m not a violent person at all, I’m really passive, but Damon’s so powerful and, as humans, we’re sickly drawn to that. The girls like the bad boy and the boys like the bad girl.
Would you want to be immortal?
No way! Life’s about the relationships that we have. It’s not about just us. We have a certain amount of time to do things. If we were immortal, it would never end.
Why are vampires so hot?
They’re sexy, dangerous and beautiful, and that draws [people] to them. There’s something about them [being] non-human that allows the characters to do things that we can’t do, and there’s a lot of escapism in that.
Have you seen Twilight?
I haven’t, because I don’t want it to influence any ideals of my own performance.
What do you think of people discussing who’s the hottest vampire?
Robert Pattinson’s a handsome sucker. Every girl in the world wants that guy, so good for him. We hear fans have asked you to bite them.
What do you think about that?
It’s pretty funny! I mean, it’s cute and endearing, but it’s also illegal.
Are you making a return to Lost?
That’s the idea.
Can you give us any inside goss?
No. I wish. Damon Lindelof [executive producer and writer for the show] would cut off my arm!

Nina Dobrev: Season Finale will drive fans crazy!
April 11, 2010 by Alex
Filed under Cast & Crew, General News, Interviews
PopWrap has interviewed Nina Dobrev about the show, Katherine, Damon & Elena, her dream guest star and the season finale!
Here’s a excerpt of the interview:
PW: You don’t see them as a viable couple?
Nina: I think people think that because it’s such a forbidden attraction. Everyone knows that Damon is dangerous and sooooo not right for her in all these ways, but there is an understanding between them. She doesn’t like him but she understands where he’s coming from and why he does what he does. Their relationship is getting more complex. Who knows what could happen in the future, but right now, it’s all Stefan all the time for Elena. She will do anything for him. Including having to put up with Damon.
PW: But it seems like the show wants us to want them together — especially in light of this picture (below) from the episode about Miss Mystic Falls.
Nina: All I will tell you is that as things keep progressing, them teaming up in any way is always out of circumstance. It’s always out of necessity. Elena is very loyal, has high morals and whatever she does, it’s for good. She’s nothing like Katherine. She’s not conniving and she would never do anything to hurt Stefan.
PW: Your show is one of the only ones that ends every episode with a cliffhanger. Does that — no pun intended — raise the stakes for the season finale?
Nina: Oh yeah, oh yeah. Every episode has to be shocking — especially the finale, which we start shooting next week.
PW: Have you read the script yet?
Nina: No one’s seen the script yet, but we’re hearing rumors and I guarantee that there will be more than one, two, three or four cliffhangers, “oh my god” moments that will be extremely shocking. The summer will be excruciating on fans as they wait for season two. You’ll just want to know. Hell, I want to know!
Ask Ausiello: Werewolves & Stefan’s darkness
April 11, 2010 by Alex
Michael Ausiello from EW.com has two new scoops about Tyler’s werewolf nature and what’s to come for Stefan.
Question: Are we ever going to see more of Vampire Diaries‘ werewolf, Tyler? He’s been surprisingly absent since that foreboding full moon. —Marz
Ausiello: “I think it is more interesting to keep [his inner werewolf] hidden or suppressed,” says exec producer Kevin Williamson, “and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” The werewolf card will eventually be played because “wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson. “My biggest concern is what the weekly special effect is going to look like. That takes careful preparation and a lot of money and some testing. We’re working on it now to figure out what we can do that won’t just look stupid. And they have to still be sexy — because, let’s face it, we cast these beautiful people for a reason.”
Question: I need Vampire Diaries scoop, please! —Vanessa
Ausiello: Ian Somerhalder predicts that Team Damon will experience a surge in popularity as the season winds down. “I think we are going to find out more about Stefan that might make fans switch teams,” he says. “He isn’t all goodie-two-shoes hero-boy.”
